There are several venues where you can hear Bill speak. These are not necessarily listed in order of convenience:

Orange County Jail
Bill proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ regularly in the jail system of Orange County, California, more specifically in the Theo Lacy Facility which is the largest of the County’s five jails. He speaks in connection with The Gleaners organization, in partnership with Mariners Church. There are certainly challenges to going this route. In order to attend the services during which Bill preaches, you would have to be either an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy or an inmate.  If you were to apply to be a Sheriff’s deputy, the odds against being assigned to chapel services at Theo Lacy on nights Bill speaks are astronomical and, besides, you don’t want to make career decisions based on such desires. Alternatively, you could become incarcerated but, again, the odds are long that you would end up in a chapel service at which Bill speaks. Incarceration has numerous attendant consequences which would also have to be thought through carefully.

Talbot Theological Seminary / Biola University
Bill lectures from time to time—about eight to ten times a year in all—at Talbot Theological Seminary at Biola University in La Mirada, California. Lectures include topics such as “Work, Vocation, and Calling”, “Faith and Economics”, and “Business Ethics”.  You are welcome to sit in on any of these lectures (I guess?), although, eventually, out of deference to the Trustees at Biola, you should probably enroll in some type of program to become more official.  Biola is a wonderful spiritual community, Bill would add.

Mariners Church in Irvine, California
Bill attends Mariners Church in Irvine, California and teaches different classes at Mariners. You can check the church website at marinerschurch.org for more specific information about these classes:

a. The Turtle Room—Bill “teaches” four and-five-year-olds during the 9:00 a.m. services on Sunday mornings in the “Turtle Room”. You should be either four or five years old to attend, or the parent of same if you want to volunteer to help out.  The lectures are, admittedly, brief and basic in nature.

b. “The Challenge” is a Men’s Bible Study at Mariners that meets Thursday mornings from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Bill speaks at “The Challenge” on average once or twice a month.

c. “Connections” is a Singles Ministry for adults in their 40s and 50s that meets on Friday evenings at 7:00 in the Community Center. Bill speaks at “Connections” on average once a month.

d. “The Theology Program” through “TruthWorks” is a program providing basic systematic theology skills in six ten-week programs. Bill currently is facilitating the course in Hermeneutics and Bibliology.

Bill will come to speak to your group
Bill does not travel all that much, but he will come to speak to your group if you are in the United States, Mexico, or Canada. He has nothing against other parts of the world, but just can’t envision going so far to speak.

Bill does not charge a fee for speaking, but if you could provide for at least modest travel arrangements and overnight accommodations, if necessary, it would be very much appreciated.
